The article describes the bifurcated retail real estate market that investors are currently facing. High quality, investor grade properties in attractive markets are priced at levels comparable to those before the recession. Demand for poor quality properties in weak market is almost non-existent. The ICA Real Estate Fund’s strategy is to identify underperforming properties in good markets that we can add value to by aggressive leasing and retrofit and redevelopment.
